Looks like Isabel's rainbands are hitting a wall as they try to move onshore :o Thoughts and comments welcomed.

Thanks for the Radar linkage.. always an interesting view..

Notice how much drier the inland air is..Much..from 70's to low 50's.

Wether or not that is holding the rain back I can't say. It is a good thing though as the sooner the rain starts the higher the chance for flooding.

Thanks Aquawind. That may explain the radar image. The dry air along and just inland from the coast may be dissapating the outer rain bands as they move on shore.
