From 955 to 953 not a big drop but is not rising and that could mean she is still very tenasious fighting the dry air and may have something left before landfall.Also eye is open to the SE.

Now that is close to the coast any wobble is big to determine a landfall point.

how fast and how low does the pressure have to drop to be considered exploding?....and what are the repercussions ?

With the news of the upper level wind strength and dropping pressure is the likelyhood of Isabel producing tornados any higher? Being close to the front lines I'm understandable somewhat concerned :)

I believe the previous number on that quadrant earlier was 80 knots so I have to assume the NE quadrant will also go up from the earlier 115 knots. But will that matter in terms of the intensity at the surface. We'll have to see what else comes up.
