I have never seen it this cool before a hurricane

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Temps in NC to DC are in the 60's, often low 60's, and dewpoints are rather low. Usually, it feels very tropic, thick, and humid before a hurricane. It is almost cool right now.[/u]

The weather channel guys mentioned that too.
That cool air is what saved the day for the NC
coast from a cat.3 hurricane. Not to mention the
shear Isabel encountered.

Yay cool! The concept of 'cool' is the whole thing that brought me to this weather board anyway nearly 2 weeks ago (I'm looking forward to finding out what our winter weather forecast is in NC).

Agreed about the cool air. It was around 60 degrees this morning when I left for work at 6:30 AM, and it did not feel the least bit humid. But I expect that to change by later this afternoon.

How's this for cool during a hurricane...

In October 1963 Hurricane Ginny, as she was making landfall in Nova Scotia, pulled in enough cold air to drop 18 inches of snow in northern Maine!
