of why I left a certain other weather board. ARGH! People complaining about the federal govt closing for NO REASON. (Yeah, right) and calling all fed employees "leeches". I'm so mad right now, I could spin up my own hurricane!

I agree with you that they had a reason to close, although the effects from Isabel in DC were probably not as bad as predicted. It is no different than closing in winter for what is predicted by most to be a foot of snow, and only getting 5 inches. There will always be those that say schools/offices were closed for no reason. Don't let it get to you too much. :)
