Checking in from Fredericksburg

#1 Postby Lowpressure » Fri Sep 19, 2003 9:50 am

Power finally back on. It was a bit nasty last night as many of us know. Here locally 6-8 inches of rain widespread. Quantico reported an estimated gust to 78. Judging by my visual estimate and the number of trees that came down across the street and throughout the area, I would say that is pretty accurate. Some damage in the neighborhood, vinyl siding and tree damage for the most part. Family is safe after a night in the basement.

janswizard-thanks, we are all o.k. My 2 1/2 year old daughter was scared, she kept saying-"wind gonna break my new house?" We will have fun today cleaning up and collecting leaves. Thanks again for caring.
