That is incredible that far inland!! It is a very strange experience isn't it? Now imagine clear skies above you with a huge chimney of clouds surrounding it. I've actually seen the sun come out during an eye passage. Reallly wierd after experiencing destructive winds!!! And then it all comes back again.

well... there are no winds right now. it is dead calm. not 1 tree is moving an inch. sky became more bright but thats prob with the dry air.

the center of circulation passed about an hour east of me near Pittsburgh. We had winds sustained I would guess around 25-30 with higher gusts into the 50's. We got about 2 inches of rain. Not much damage at all. We lost power a few times. Few trees down and some loose objects were blown around some. Was pretty cool. Good thing it wasn't much stronger!! Was a pretty cool experience.

i didnt get anywhere near that. 25mph gust was the peak here. btw, wwbb is back up on the old board
