Oh wow! It looks like a storm. Rotation is evident, convection is there. I hate to say it, but the EPAC may be getting a storm.

Doesn't look like much to me. Perhaps a slight indication of mid-level turning, but I don't see any evidence of a surface circulation or concentrated convection. QuickSCAT shows nothing there. In fact, looking at the IR picture, nothing jumped out at me as a significant disturbance.

when I looked at the visual imagery earlier today, it showed that the inversion dominated stratocumulus was not too far from the convection. If any circulation were to develop it would draw in that cool stable air real quick.

But with it devoid of any significant convection, you would have to figure this is mid level rotation or a mid level disturbance at this point. Something to watch. On the other hand, there is definitely some stratus to talk about nearby too. That gets entrained into this disturbance and the chances of any development are nil. I don't see it developing anytime soon if at all.
