TROPICAL DISTURBANCE IN THE SOUTHERN GULF TO MOVE NORTH THROUGH MONDAY INCREASING OUR RAIN CHANCES! STAY TUNED!
As expected very little shower activity Saturday with high pressure to our east keeping things quite. This will change though (depending on track of Gulf Low) by Monday of next week as Tropical disturbance over the Southern Gulf tracks north toward the Upper Texas and Southwest Louisiana coast. The system was showing signs Saturday morning of becoming a little better organized and there is a chance that a Depression could form to our south on Sunday. Sunday looks dry and hot ahead of the system as Subsidence takes hold. Both models have the Low tracking just east of the area Monday with increasing moisture levels. As of now the deepest moisture is progged just east of the area. The system as of this writing is a mid level low but it could be brought down to the surface on Sunday. Plane will investigate Sunday if needed. It is possible that the system once moving onshore Monday may work to the west with the increasing High to it's east, if this occurs we could see some heavy rains Monday and Tuesday. Also, an upper trough is progged to approach the area late Monday as well...Stay tuned!
