CRITICAL -- Need expert forecast for.........

#1 Postby dixiebreeze » Sat Jun 12, 2004 9:51 pm

Tuesday & Wednesday storm status. I'll be on Amtrak traveling the Panhandle across NOL, Miss., Texas on Tues./Wed. enroute to visit a seriously ill family member in Oregon. Sure would hate to be held up by a TS or worse.

DARN! Just knew this trip would coincide with the first real tropical action of the season! But I have to get there and will be gone until July 3.

The good news is I'll have plenty of computer access at my destination. Oh, for a laptop right now

Thanks, Bevco, it's really a very serious situation -- may even involve a liver transplant eventually (hope NOT)!

I already had train tickets when the situation worsened, or I might have flown out instead. Can't change them now. She's just 24 yrs. and about 5 months pregnant. Hospitalized 2 months now as the result of a botched bile duct surgery early April.

Prayers appreciated, BTW.

Personally, I think you'll be OK. I'm not an expert, but I think at best this thing will be a Weak TS making landfall by Late Monday.

Just a guess.

Hope everything goes well BTW. :)

That is terrible! I will keep you and your family in my prayers. My Dad is very ill right now so I can understand somewhat what you are going through. I really hope everything is OK.

So sorry to hear about such a terrible situation. I hope all will go well-both your trip to Oregon and the outcome. My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your family. I am glad to hear that you will have computer access-it wouldn't be the same without your input here. :(

Please keep us posted.

Oops! Guess I spoke too soon this morning. Getting seriously concerned about my emergency trip across the Panhandle and points west Tues.
