Only a tropical storm but it caused massive floodings in the panhandle of Florida same case as Allison did in 2001 at Texas.

Yeah--a very destructive storm (floodwise) for only a tropical storm... And lets not forget that Beryl affected the same areas with flooding rains a month later... There was a video created by WALB10 in albany showing the floods and destruction from that storm... historic flooding and Caskets were lifted from the ground and floating down the rivers of SW Ga due to this event. :eek:

I was excited at first, but then dissapointed in Alberto of 1982. It weakened just after hurricane warnings were issued for SW FL. Then it eventually dissipated in the east GOM.

I have a question, If Alberto in 1994 was such a destructive storm as we know it was, Why its name was not retire?
