This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

TW decapitated by ULL

#1 Postby MGC » Mon Jul 19, 2004 10:02 pm

Seems our TW is being sucked into the ULL to the north this evening. This trend is quite evident on the WV loop. No development expected till the TW approaches the Western Carribean...............MGC

I surely believe this wave is being "decapitated" not because of the ULL, but because its "legs" are mving faster than its "head".

You're right also. But he also is...there is a combination of factors there. The ULL, it's rapid westward motion and the dry air ahead of it, to mention some.

Your Welcome. How is the weather down there in PR. I was just talking about the caves in PR with a friend at work and how she wants to go back and do some caving. I've spent two nights at Rosy Roads NS years ago. Had a good time the short while I was there.........MGC

Wheather is nice for now but a few showers related to a weak TW passing just south of us are begining to enter into the island.

I am expecting weather conditions to deteriorate tomorow evening as the tropical wave everybody is talking about enter to our area... Let's see how it interact with the ULL north of us...

You won't beleiveme but I haven't go to the caves for quite a few years... :D
