New Ivan forecast... over Jamaica and toward GOM

is that because of SA they weaken????? Ive heard this before, but have never real grasped the explanation for weakening in this area (i'm still learning)....

I thought Derek did a pretty good job with Frances and was one of the few mets saying it would cross Florida and go into the GOM early in the forecast periods when the system was still well out into the altantic...... and he pretty much stuck with his basic forecast throughout the duration... Jason Kelly of Panama City TV also forecast early that Frances would cross Florida and hit the panhandle...

I'll be interested on what his call on Ivan will be....

Agreed. He did a heck of a job with Frances.

I was just going to say the same thing. Frances went north of the islands. The waters there a least enough to maintain such a system until it gets to the hottub (the GOM). :roll:
