my point exactly...we get a slowdown and the keys to miami and back west are all in play...never thought this could happen yesterday

It is impossible for that senario to occur.

Can you be secure? No. There's a cat 4/5 storm out there, and you'll be near it. Every once and a while I go reread the forecasts and discussions for Mitch to remind me just how tough the forecasts can be.
You should stay alert and informed. Be prudent--travel if you think you can/should, but don't let secure=complacent. This could still go a lot of different ways.
I guess it kind of depend on what you mean by secure. Anything can happen with these things.
