Interesting buoy to watch over the next 12 hours or so

#1 Postby mf_dolphin » Tue Sep 14, 2004 10:28 am

http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=42003

This one is due north of the 11AM position of Ivan. Ivan should be passing to the west of it over time. Already reporting almost 50MPH gusts and 16.7 foot waves.

Here's our page with all of the GOM buoys.

HZRX is reporting winds from 110 @ 52 sustained!

That is 180nm ene of the center...!

So the 50 kt wind radius is actually 180 to the ne...instead of 120.

Wow.

The pages only update every hour.

Here's a special page for all buoys in Ivans path.

What's the over/under for when this buoy fails?

And do they ever fix these things or what?

The links in this thread aren't working for me. Is everybody else getting in?
Even more normal NOAA site for my buoy (SC) isn't working. Hope it's just me!
