If I heard Steve Lyons say that Lisa will be 93L?
In the tropical update at 7:50 I heard him say that the merge is going on and that the big disturbance behind Lisa would be Lisa when the merge is complete. If that is true then the 2004 season continues to be one of new records and one to remember for a loooooong!! time.So the name Matthew would not be used with 93L.

Someone needs to run that by me again. Is 93L merging with Lisa to become Lisa2, Or is Lisa downgrading to 93L?
And if it did happen (and yes I read the thread on why cyclones normally do not merge) would the merge system take the name of the "named" storm? Or would the named storm give up its name if it merged with an unnames larger system?

It would be "Matthew" Lisa has been distoryed by invest 93L. Invest 93L has a clear LLCC in is every bit more oreganized if not more oreganized then the so called Ivan in the Gulf of Mexico. The nhc is playing games if they put the name Lisa on 93L! It will be Matthew or there is something wrong in denmark!

Man oh man oh man....
If I didn't have enuf with Ivan returning (somewhat) from the dead, now there's Lisa and 93L merging?
I think I'm going to faint. *passes out*
Pass the tranquilizers.

In my opinion if Lisa absorbs 93L, then the name should be kept, but that is not occurring right now. Now, if 93L absorbs Lisa and becomes a named tropical cyclone then Matthew should be used.
