We thought we saw one of their planes the other night. - flying back towrds the north. Do they go out of Tallahassee? I remember they used to do some flights out of MacDill years ago.
Does the plane look like a big silver prop plane...4 props... with a red stripe around the body. -kinda looks like a real big coast guard plane?
Where does recon fly out of?

NOAA - don't they run that flight?
I thought NOAA was in charge of those flights? -if not, what do their planes do then? I remember during Andrew they were taking off all the time to check on that storm. (I was stationed there at the time)

Since Andrew was quite a beast, they probably wanted to collect as much data as they could.
