WHY??????????

If you will go back and look at the recon reports this morning, there would be absolutely no doubt in your mind that they should keep it classified as subtropical. The "eye" core temperatures were a mere 20 to 22 degrees Celcius or 60 to 68 degrees fahrenheit. In order to be classified as "tropical", we need to see eye core temperatures a little closer to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, if I am not terribly mistaken.

A band of moist clouds are developing over Florida's west coast
seabreeze. I think there could be scattered thunderstorms
this afternoon across interior Florida as the seabreeze
pushes inland.

Kiss Andrea Goodbye.

Say hello to sea-breeze driven rains for Florida!!!!
What's lacking is the vertical lift for rain across florida,
if the seabreeze can work that we can get some rain today.

I think the question now becomes how long to stick with it before discontinuing advisories on what is essentially just a remnant swirl.

A little off topic, are these showers developing north of Lake City or is the radar just picking up smoke from the nearby large fires

Andrea is almost done, but...

now that the midlevel low has moved away far enough and the SE quad is over 79-81 degree water. There is a chance that the SE quad could refired this afternoon as one last horray.

I must make a statement about Andrea as well:

Even though it has weakened as far as winds. The low level structure looks better than ever. Also stations now reporting 10 minute sustained winds of 31-kts and gusts to 35 kts.
http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/station_page.php?station=SAUF1

Just to let you know...

ONE-MINUTE MEAN = 1.14 * TEN-MINUTE MEAN = 35.3kts = 40.6 mph

Don't flame me...just a comment.

IT
IS WORTH NOTING THAT ALL OF THE DYNAMICAL MODELS FORECAST
EXTRATROPICAL CYCLOGENESIS FARTHER NORTH OVER THE WESTERN ATLANTIC
IN ABOUT THREE DAYS.

per NHC discussion

okay maybe a transition to another subtropical system in the future

No need to be sorry stratusxpeye..

To Clarify the advisory thread at the top of the forum is for reference purposes only.. A mod will post the advisories there and keep the thread locked. Its so members can just go there and find the advisory to view without having to scroll through 25 pages in the discussion thread to find it.. However anyone can still post it in the main storm discussion thread and discuss it there as well. So you actually did nothing wrong :-)

Hope this clears things up and I made sense.. If not let me know :-)
