Am not quite sure where to post as a new member. Found you guys just before Humberto formed and have been reading the tropics threads and it seems there are some very educated and smart should i say "weatherwise" folks here.Fore the most part i will likely log in and watch and learn with a occasional question.Goodday and happy stormtracking! :)

Cyclone1, who is on Wikipedia, the Hurricane Wikia, and here, told me about it. I think I saw it before, but didn't get interested until then.

It MAY have been a mention or link in the Pensacola News Journal forums... can't really recall. But I visited the PBJ site often after Ivan to check on my favorite beaches, and there I found forecasts/discussions from Derek Ortt. I was quite impressed by his forecasts and discussions, and was pleased to find him posting here! I used to check quite a few weather sites, searching for good info on hurricanes, but now Storm2K stays at the top of my list.
I post seldom, but read almost daily, and learn often! Great site, especially for those of us in areas threatened by tropical storms.

Found you during an approaching storm here in the Caribbean, googling for weather info...not so very long ago, there really wasn't a whole lot that seemed reliable for our area. Out of what I found, kept and discarded, S2K has been one that stuck!

And I heard about it from other members at the Wikiproject Tropical Cyclones.

I found this site through Google. I was looking for information on whether or not any names had been officially retired from the 2007 Atlantic list, and the discussion about that came up on Google and so I was directed here.
