no time to settle on this - we expected it would be a case of off the plane into the car and off to move into position! Looks like some very sleepless times ahead!!!

obxhurricane, let me get this right...

You live on the outer banks at 8 feet above sea level, and you are going to hunker down for Isabel?

I'd double check my life insurance policies if I were you. I'd hate to think that you could leave a wife and kids without any support. But then again, maybe you aren't married.

Of course you are aware that a Cat-5 hurricane means storm surge of at least 22 feet, with large and battering waves on top of that?
