This area near the Bahamas is impressive

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

To be honest...I do hope we get an Invest or something during the next day or so, so I can test the models on my website

right now, an outside shot as winds in the GOM are strong out of the north

my main concern now is who will win Saturday's TDF ITT

So now Reuters is going to hype every "somewhat more conducive for some slow development" in an NHC discussion?

I see it's going to be a long season ...

So who says the NWS does not have a sense of humor...put a little swirl off MIA...say something may happen in a couple days...and then knock down the radar for maintenance :cheesy: :cheesy:

Lot more moisture in the area this morning....eyw and mlb on long range both sniffing at something off the se coast but not substantial...

I do agree with it was interesting statement that nothing now but mebbe in a few days...and where is that supposed to be...guess that is what woke up the gulf discussions.

I don't think TPC really is concerned that this area could develop. They just leave room for any remote possibility in their statements. New schedule came out this morning with no flights scheduled tomorrow or even possible for Friday.

Coulda sworn I saw some model runs the other day that said this area off the Bahamas would be cold-core along the trough/front that's draped over the East Coast.

perhaps I dreamed it. eh well.

Well, I would think there needs to be some sort of persistance for Recon to actually take a look. This has pretty much popped up of interest early this morning.

Nice little moisture feed available south but probably will not help any development but may ensure today and tomorrow are not great outside days for SoFla...grin.

water vapor shows a short dry stretch if it continues west but then some good pw numbers if it held together but big N to S winds to get there.....

OOOOOOOOOkay
There are No signs of the ULL working down to the surface yet, I interpret thier TWO as saying, it could become something to watch for in 2or 3 days. It would need to stay over these very warm waters and finish becoming a cut off ULL.
There is some low level rotation near south west Cuba but it is very weak.

doper? the only team to actually not have doping problems?

I need a Kloden victory or high placing and Cunego not to lose more than 4 minutes
