Technically, he's right — they were active on the same day, just not at the same time.

I think a comprasion to the 1995 will show we are in a pretty similar position, indeed if anything we are a touch ahead of 1995. Whether or not we will keep up the pace I've not got a clue but maybe something close to that ballpark is at least possible.

imo people keep comparing this with 95. You cant compare seasons based on prevouis years. I dont get the logic behind this, each year is different.

Besides the comparison is frivilous. 1995 had no may storms, and no major storm systems till August 10th (felix).

Also only 3 tropical storms formed in july in 1995. We are going to be above that number and we had a CATEGORY 3 on our hands with Bertha and a yet undetermined dolly. So even comparing this to the 1995 season is incorrect. Its exceeded that.
