Even Ike and Gustav produced tides quite high along the MS coast (6-8 feet or a bit more for Gustav). I believe that Betsy produced quite high tides in Biloxi (10-12ft?).

Reinforces the notion of not following the 'skinny black line' on forecast maps...the storms' effects...including damaging surge can extend far from the 'eye', esp. in a surge prone area.

Gustav put about .5 feet above the sea wall at my house.. the sea wall is 10 feet ASL.. surge completely covered the east bound lane of Hwy 90.. Ike was a good 2-3 feet less than Gustav from what I observed

Just a side note.. I just had my house inspected by an engineering firm for the newly initiated wind pool reduction program.. I qualified for a 25% reduction (based on house construction) and if I cut down a Magnolia next to my house I'll get another 5%.. since the Magnolia is in really bad shape and I was thinking about cutting it down anyway... and the city gave me the OK to take it down, it's gonna be a gone pecan soon..
