When and where will Felix form?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Dude, that's awesome, Cryomaniac! I know others will want to post their tracks and hypothetical canes as well, and it doesn't belong here, so I'll go ahead and make a new thread in the offtopic forum.

I think August 26, out of a rejuvenated system in the Gulf from the remnants of 92L. Category 1 hurricane.

Hmmm, lots of possibilities. I have reviewed all the posts, and have some wacko ideas of my own, but at this point I agree most with Crazy's prediction. However, I think Aug 26 is too soon, so enter my guess for the same system, but getting named on Aug 28.

Also for Weatherwoman: Cornelius, NC, is 20 miles north of Charlotte up Hwy 77.

I know this message was not intended for me, but I'll be heading up to that area tomorrow (I'm going to Davidson College)

In any event, I think the wave coming off Africa has a decent chance of becoming something if it can develop some meaningful convection over water. It looks like it has some sort of spin to it.

Well, I must admit I've had a bad feeling about Felix since I saw the name on the list. Why? Well, Felix is the name given to the (fictional) king of the Mobile Carnival Association. The mayor (figuratively, of course) turns over control of the city to King Felix, who announces misrule in our fair city every year for Mardi Gras and presides over all the happenings/shenanigans during Mardi Gras weekend.
So... I just don't want a Hurricane Felix to arrive here, literally take over, and cause all kinds of misrule and shenanigans!
