These long tracking storms always haunt me (I'm an insurance adjuster and a major hurricane means I would go to the storm for a good 5 months for work). So many times they look like the real deal and then poof or recurve. The tropics are on fire right now, I had a gut feeling about this year and my preseason call was hurricane Ian was gonna be the storm I would be working.

GFS now delays significant development until in the western Tropical Atlantic about 6-7 days from now, where have I seen this before? :wink:
