I also have some trouble from a science standpoint believing that a "weakening" hurricane would only lose 10KT over Florida, despite spending 5 hours on land.
I believe that the winds were 115KT at landfall, but had decreased to 85KT before reaching the metro areas. In other words, my argument is mainly from a science standpoint, not about the effects on land since I am arguing what the crocs received (and am a little lower fo what the people received)

When I created this reports thread I said that if you have comments about the reports you can do so here.So far it has been good the discussions about the reports here. But also I can see another thread that can be dedicated only to discuss the reports in length.Of course the reports will continue to be posted at this thread and every page will continue to have the list but you can see which report is the latest posted always at the first page.

Thanks,

On the contrary I dont see the graphics that are posted with every system at the list interrupting the discussions of the reports at all.The graphics provide additional information to the members aside to the reports about the tracks of every system.

And I'm grateful they are there! It is, after all, a discussion board ABOUT those reports; and the presence of the links on the latest page is convenient.
My 2 cents.

I agree with the first poster....having the links to the NHC graphics for each storm makes it difficult to discern which storm reports have been issued. I too think this information, while very useful, does not belong in a topic devoted to the NHC end of year reports...

Ok, after I just posted my comment, I noticed that Luis has put together the reports list in a MUCH easier to read format. Presented in this NEW fashion, the graphics forecast verification links are just fine.
