Yeah I agree. With the RNC coming to Tampa, any storms around here would cause a big upset and problems with all the extra people.

This wave looks rather impressive. The GFS is very bullish on development as soon as it exits the coast into the Atlantic ocean. The ECMWF shows development as well though not quite as bullish. This may be one of those times the NHC gives this a code yellow or orange even before the wave has exited the African coast. Both GFS and ECMWF eventually turn this system into a large break in the subtropical ridge north of the islands and well east of the United States.

Waouw, a bit impressive for early August to see on Africa a pretty strong feature like that. That could be interresting to see how this Pouch evolves once its exiting the African coast.

Legitimately looks like a tropical storm over land. It will need a circle as soon as it begins to show on the GTWO map.

I wouldnt bank on any scenario until we see when this system develops and at what latitude it is at... we have seen the models turn systems out to sea many times before only to see the storms end up hitting the USA.

I wouldn't be suprised if this is Invested in Senegal, or at the very least code yellow, and with the pattern the way its been so far I wouldn't be so sure this would be a fish, the 0zGFS shows this

It takes to South Carolina not Florida, but it doesn't matter it's in the very long range.

It already looks like a tropical depression over Africa, amazing! With the high across the Atlantic this will be one to watch IMO.
