uhhh. no, they didn't...may not have been intentional, but this was the funniest thing I've seen since Jim Cantore donning the speedo swimmers googles during Jeanne.

That movie was a huge load of dung, and you better bet I made my husband sit through the whole blasted thing.

Oh yeah, and I have to mention that I was totally bummed that we didn't get closure on where exactly Tornado Tommy ended up.

I suspect Tornado Tommy was killed by the twister that picked him and his vehicle off the ground.

And of course his videos will be safe, because he bequeathed them to Brian Dennehy, and no one would dare sell them to the highest bidder, right?

And why would a director of the NWS (or NWA) be mixed up with a loon like that anyway? And whatever happened to his Japanese customers. Missed a great opportunity there, too.

...yeah, but where did he land? I though for sure we would see a final shot of the truck overturned with him dead and a big smile on his face, still clutching one of the camcorders he didn't chuck out the window in the Brinks firebox...

Just replied on the poll thread (Which is worse? thread) ...

But it's unconceivable on Earth ...

Bsaically put the winds would be equal to or greater than on Neptune (average wind speed on Neptune is 1,100 MPH) ...

When they said "93MB" they may have been refering to "993MB," also they were talking about a disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico that was destroying the oil fields.

How about when the hacker dude got electrocuted? That was slightly farfetched wasn't it? I also thought the daughter that got shot was a pretty bad actress. Any thoughts?

I did notice that some of the hurricane footage shown in the movie, especially after one particular commercial break was taken right from my area and the hurricane Frances footage. There was a shot of a light dangling across an intersection and that was taken during the storm about 5 miles from my house. About what you can expect for a low budget network film. Get Mark Sudduth's DVD off of Hurricanetrack.com. At least it is real footage!! Watching this movie was insulting to me, being that I'm a seasoned hurricane veteran!! It's ashamed that have to portray it in such a distorted view.

Obviously, it was filmed in Canada. The actor who plays Lindsay's little brother Garth must be Canadian. He said "black-ooot" and "I couldn't call ooot."
Yes it was. And it was typically Canadian in it's cheapness and bad acting. They didn't even try to cover up the fact that it was shot in Canada like most US movies shot here try to do.

-the convenience store bad boyfriend knocks off is a Mac's milk store, a chain of convenience stores in Southern Ontario.
-The bad husband and his floozy are talking in front of a CN rail bridge.
-The mall where Mom finds her daughter has a Fido kiosk. Fido is a Canadian cellular company.
-The Mom and her stupid daughter are trapped in a Bank of Montreal.
And on and on.

I only watched part 1 because it was so awful.

All in all this movie was a pathetic farce. I saw the 2nd half. I want my 2 hours back!
