I dont know if im right or not, but Ive heard that its the right fron quadrant for a landfalling storm, but the NE quadrant for a storm at sea

Dean is moving slightly north of due west meaning if you take into account it's relative motion to a specific location the N-NE quad will have the highest winds right now...if it were moving towards the SW then the NW quad would have the highest winds

I think you're right. Hopefully everything is alright and they just had a malfunction in the computer that sends out the data.

One thing I learned when I flew Rita was that the flow of data requires sat communications. Probably some technical difficulties in the sat coms
