Again, I would like to thank everyone for such a warm welcome to the board. The predictions keep growing and the #'s are not looking any better.
I think most of us can agree that the season is going to be busy. I also think that we will see some action early in the GOM this year, only time will tell.

Hey, your not to far from me! We are so long over due for a big storm in this area. I have said that for so long now that I'm tired of hearing it myself. Main thing is that we not let our guard down.

I agree Toni..the bad thing is even last year when we were in the "cone" before they shifted the track..our level of complacency grows with each false alarm..I hope people realize the danger of not listening when the time comes!!

I can't agree with you more. People in my area are soooooo... non-complacent. Even when you try and talk to them about the risk possibility they just don't want to hear it, their prepardness level is a gallon of h20,a loaf of bread, and a small flashlight. :(

This year ..I hope they are ready because Florida is favorable..as well as many gulf states, according to the experts, to be hit by a storm!!! El Nino is no more..G.O.M. is open for business so to speak. La Nina will dercease wind shear and let a small blob of convection explode into a storm rapidly..so I've heard

I was easily thinking we would see our first storm in mid July. What we were looking at in May into June were different, thus the June predictions by some of us.
