Hi all!
I found this place from another board I lurk at (flhurricane) and it seems like this one's updated a lot more than some of the others I've read. I've been tracking and reading about hurricanes since moving to FL in '73, and now with the Net, we "regular" people have previously unheard-of access to storm prediction tools.

One of the regular posters on Warchant.com posted a link and I have been hooked since. This is the first hurricane that has ever REALLY scared me.

I am curious to know and perhaps others are to... How did you find out about Storm2K?

Hello everyone, I am VaLady, and live in southeast VA. I found this board from a friend just recently, and have been reading the posts on this forum.
I have to say that it is quite refreshing to see so many knowledgeable people here that can share their information about Hurricanes.
Sorry to say that I am not that Knowledgeable, but I am willing to try to contribute to the best of my ablility.
Also It is rather pleasant to see that people actually care for one another here, without bashing, attacking, or even causing problems, and You can see this in each one of ya'lls posts.
Now, I just have to learn how to reply, or add my own message correctly. : )
Thanks

Found you guys right before Isabel hit last September(don't remember exactly where I got the site address). The people here are great. Because of you, I got myself prepared, and I had the supplies I needed when the storm hit and for the weeks following. Just a little update. We did get a bit of damage from the flood and are rebuilding (the entire foundation of the house shifted and yep, it's taken us a year to fix everything and we still aren't done, lol)

Have been lurking mostly, on and off for the past year when possible. Really interested in the discussions on Frances, as my mom is in JAX, Florida and I update her with the news from here daily.

Thanks to all of the fantastic folks here.

I have been watching the board, but have never replied since Charley. I found out about this website listening to Bud Hedinger on AM radio- so I checked you'll out. Very informative and especially intresting to hear all the forecasts, predictions, etc...
