Philip J. Klotzbach and Dr Gray were pretty good in 2008,contrary from the 2006,2007 seasons. In fact,I believe that this 2008 forecast was one of the best from the Colorado State University team since they began to do these annual forecasts.

For those who may want to know when the first 2009 forecast will be released,it will be out on December 10th.

My first and only question is why are they coming out with this report when the season has not even ended yet?

I notice they are using images from websites like Unisys and NRL for these official reports. It kind of reminds you that they are still human, LOL. There was an error about mid-980s in which there wasn't even the printing press at the time. It should say mid-1980s. The part about Wikipedia being helpful in summarizing the tropical cyclones individually (in the report) made me cringe.

They did a excellent job this year compared to other years and so did many other forecasts and single ones (Storm2K average was extremely close not too long ago).

I think that they do the verification of every season before November 30th every year. The question of why they do it that way, well I dont know, but look what is going on now with a possible development in the SW Caribbean.
