Morning S2K,
I wanted to pass along that fellow Hurricane Chaser Jim Edds recently released a new Hurricane Ike documentary DVD. A excellent look into Ike’s surge and winds in Galveston from start to end right along the coast. I wrote up a brief review if your interested. Some of you likely have seen this film already, but if not, a must for the cane enthusiast out there.

Thanks for your time and great hurricane coverage once again from S2K. I’m not a big poster, but loyal reader.

It's on my Christmas list. There's also a book/DVD advertised in the Houston Chronicle, though I can't find the link on their web page. Anyone have the link? I see it advertised in the paper all the time.

I emailed the link to my wife. I hope she can take a hint.

I purchased the DVD a last month. Its very well done and gave me a chance to see what I missed as I prepared for IKE. The surf on the seawall and the flooded strand early in the day is just amazing.
Wxman57 the Galveston Daily news also has book.

Ticka emailed me a link and will post it for you.
In addition Mark at HurricaneTrack.com will have a 2008 DVD which I have already pre-ordered. He should have it ready before Christmas. Last time I spoke to him he had just started editing the IKE section.

I can't find any info on the book/DVD prepared by the Chronicle at chron.com. I knew about the Galveston book.

Re: Hurricane Ike Documentary DVD
I just ordered the Hurricane IKE documentary from the Houston Chronicle and Galveston Daily News. The one thing I regret about Alicia was not having more photos. With IKE I will have a ton of photos to look back over the next 25 years
