This is a neat place where you can track on a daily basis,how is the 2011 season doing in contrast to past very active seasons like 1933,2005 and 2010. Also, you can track it vs the average.

So far,the 2011 Atlantic season is on the normal average,but soon it will fall below the average as you can see in the graphic at the first post of thread. But the lid for sure will open soon to cause the season to turn above average.We willl see down the road.

On a average season, the 2nd storm forms by August 1. We're more than within the average levels.
