Mediterranean Storm 22/02/2012

The Mediterranean Sea is not very warm at this time, but the clash of fresh Atlantic air with the warm north Africa caused very strong contrasts. A strong storm has formed in recent days and is causing flooding and damage in southern Italy and Tunisie.
Fallen rain to 200mm in 24/h. Winds 70-100 km/h (Bonifati 142 km/h).
It has acquired a warm core being continuously fed by a warm flow from North Africa.

Look guys, the warm core cyclone acquired a tropical caracteristic.
