Interesting seeing the loop of Sandy and Isaac as well as Michael coming from a tiny storm and Nadine's longevity.

US landfalls in 2012: two tropical storms, one hurricane and one hurricane-strength storm that was likely post-tropical (depending on post-analysis). I'd be curious to see how they write Sandy down for impacts in HURDAT - if hurricane conditions were occurring before the time of transition, they officially count. I don't remember any sustained hurricane winds reaching the coast, although some places were close, particularly near Long Island Sound. Isaac should be LA1 (don't think sustained hurricane winds reached the MS Gulf Coast).
