Waves 3-4 at 12:05 UTC discussion on 5/28/22:

An eastern Atlantic tropical wave extends its axis along 25W, S
of 14N and moving westward at 10-15 kt. Scattered moderate
convection prevails S of 06N, where the wave meets the monsoon
trough.

A central Atlantic tropical wave extends its axis along 50W, S of
12N and moving westward at 10-15 kt. No deep convection is
associated with this feature at this time.

Waves 3-4 at 12:05 UTC discussion on 5/29/22:

An eastern Atlantic tropical wave has its axis along 30W/31W
from 02N to 15W, moving westward at 10-15 kt. Small clusters
of scattered moderate convection are noted near the southern part
of the wave from 01N to 04N between 29W-31W.

A central Atlantic tropical wave has its axis along 55W south of
13N, moving westward at 10-15 kt. No significant convection is
occurring with this wave at the present time.

An eastern Atlantic tropical wave has its axis along 36W from 02N
to 14N, moving westward around 15 kt. Increasing scattered
moderate to isolated strong convection is noted where the wave
interrupts the ITCZ from 03N to 08N between 33W-36W.

A central Atlantic tropical wave has its axis along 60W from 02N
to 14N. It is moving westward at 13 kt. Isolated showers are possible
near the wave.

A central Atlantic tropical wave has its axis along 45W from 02N
to 14N. It is moving westward around 20 kt. Scattered moderate to
isolated convection is within 300 nm east of the wave and west of
the wave to 52W from 04N to 07N. Scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms are elsewhere from 05N to 09N within 180 nm west and
120 nm east of the wave.

An eastern Caribbean tropical wave has its axis along 66W south
of 14N, moving westward at 15 kt. No deep convection is noted,
only isolated showers are possible east of the wave in the trade
wind flow.

A central Atlantic tropical wave has its axis along 52/53W south
of 13N, moving westward at 10-15 kt. Scattered moderate to
isolated strong convection is east of the wave axis from 07N to
11N between 44-50W, and from 03N to 06N between 46W- 50W. Isolated
showers and thunderstorms are elsewhere from 02N to 13N between
45W-56W.

A central Caribbean tropical is along 72W south of 11N. It is
moving westward at 10-15 kt. Only a few showers and thunderstorms
are seen along the wave axis just south of Lake Maracaibo in
Venezuela.

A far eastern Atlantic tropical wave was introduced on the
surface map at 0600 UTC along 26W from 02N to 13N based on
diagnostic guidance from Albany-SUNY and on the CIMSS MIMIC
Total Precipitable Water (TPW) animation imagery. It is moving
westward at 15 kt. Scattered moderate convection is within 180
nm either side of the wave from 05N to 07N.

A central Atlantic tropical wave has its axis along 59W from 01N
to 14N, moving westward at 15 knots. Scattered moderate small
clusters of convection are within 60 nm east of the wave from
08N to 10N. Larger clusters of moderate convection are over
South America within 120 nm east and 60 nm west of the wave axis.

A Caribbean tropical wave has its axis along 76W south of 12N.
It is moving westward around 13 kt. Scattered moderate
convection is within 60 nm west of the wave from 08N to 10N.
This convection is being aided by the eastern segment of the
eastern Pacific monsoon trough.

...TROPICAL WAVES...

A far eastern Atlantic tropical wave is along 28W from 02N to
13N, moving westward at 15 kt. Convection associated with the
tropical wave remains weak at this time.

A tropical wave approaching the Windward Islands has its axis
along 61W from 01N to 13N, moving westward at 15 kt. Scattered
moderate convection is from 08N to 13N between 59W and 63W.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are also observed over NE
Venezuela.

An Atlantic Ocean tropical wave is along 29W, from 14N southward,
moving westward 15 knots. Precipitation: any nearby precipitation
is related more to the ITCZ.

A Caribbean Sea tropical wave is along 62W, from 14N southward,
moving westward 15 knots. Precipitation: scattered moderate is
within 240 nm to the east of the tropical wave, south of 12N.

A Caribbean Sea tropical wave is along 79W/80W, from 12N
southward, moving westward 5 to 105 knots. Precipitation:
isolated moderate is within 120 nm on either side of the tropical
wave.

to 11N, moving westward at 20 knots. Scattered moderate
convection is observed from 03N to 10N between 36W and 42W.

A Caribbean Sea tropical wave is analyzed along 70W, from 01N to
12N, moving westward at 15 knots. Scattered moderate convection is
observed from 02N to 13N between 69W and 77W.

An Atlantic tropical wave is analyzed along 29W, south of 11N and
moving westward at 15 knots. Scattered showers and isolated
thunderstorms are noted from 03.5N to 07.5N between 29W and 33W.

An Atlantic tropical wave is analyzed along 54W, south of 13N and
moving westward at 15 knots. The wave has been repositioned
several degrees west of recent analysis based on long term
satellite and precipitable waters imagery. Overnight scatterometer
wind data showed a modest wind surge to 25 kt accompanying this
wave. Scattered moderate isolated strong convection is noted from
05N to 12N between 47W and 60W.

A Caribbean tropical wave is analyzed along 75W, south of 12N and
moving westward at 15 knots. A few showers and thunderstorms are
noted near the wave axis.

An Atlantic tropical wave is analyzed along 16W from the equator
to 13N, moving westward at 25 knots. Scattered moderate with
isolated strong convection is observed from 02N to 09N between 11W
and 20W.

An Atlantic tropical wave is analyzed along 32W from the equator
to 11N, moving westward at 25 knots. Scattered moderate convection
is observed from 02N to 06N between 30W and 33W. A recent
scatterometer pass found fresh to strong ENE winds within the
convection area ahead of the wave axis.

An Atlantic tropical wave is analyzed along 55W from the equator
to 12N, moving west at 15 knots. Scattered moderate convection is
observed from 05N to 12N between 50W and 60W.

A Caribbean tropical wave is analyzed along 76W from the 01N to
13N, moving westward at 10 knots. Isolated moderate convection is
observed in the SW Caribbean from 08N to 13N between 73W and 83W.

A tropical wave is analyzed along 24W, south of 12N and moving
westward at 20-25 knots. Isolated convection is noted within 120
nm of the wave.

A tropical wave is analyzed along 38W, south of 12N and moving
westward at 20-25 knots. Scattered moderate isolated strong
convection is near the wave from 02N to 06.5N between 37W and 42W.

A tropical wave is analyzed along 61W, south of 13N, and moving
westward at 15-20 knots. Scattered moderate to strong convection
is observed within 120 nm of the wave axis S of 11N and extends
well inland over NE South America and offshore waters.

A tropical wave is analyzed along 79W/80W, south of 13N into the
eastern Pacific and western Colombia, and moving westward at 10
knots. Scattered strong showers and thunderstorms are S of 12N
across the Caribbean waters and area also affecting the Caribbean
coasts of Panama and Colombia and along their Pacific coasts N of
03N.

The axis of a tropical wave is along 31W and south of 13N. The
wave is moving westward near 20 knots. Scattered moderate
isolated strong convection is observed S of 08.5N and between 29W
and 38W.

The axis of a tropical wave is along 48W, south of 13N and moving
westward near 20-25 knots. Scattered moderate isolated strong
convection is present from 06N to 10N and between 43W and 58W
along the coast of NE South America.

The axis of a tropical wave is along 68W, south of 14N and over
western Venezuela, and moving westward near 15-20 knots. No
convection is noted near the wave axis, while scattered moderate
to strong convection is well inland over Venezuela S of 04N
within 120 nm of axis.

A Caribbean tropical wave axis is analyzed along 83W, south of 13N
and extends across Costa Rica and into the tropical eastern
Pacific. Scattered moderate to strong convection is noted from
09.5N to 14.5N between the coast of Colombia and the NE coast of
Nicaragua.

An Atlantic Ocean tropical wave is along 43W/44W, from 14N
southward, moving westward 15 knots to 20 knots. Precipitation:
broken to overcast multilayered clouds, and isolated moderate to
locally strong, are within 540 nm to the west of the tropical
wave, and within 210 nm to the east of the tropical wave.

An Atlantic Ocean tropical wave is along 59W, from 14N
southward, moving westward 15 knots to 20 knots. Precipitation:
broken to overcast multilayered clouds, and widely scattered
moderate to isolated strong, are within 500 nm to the east of
the tropical wave, and within 300 nm to the west of the tropical
wave. Isolated moderate to locally strong is from 14N to 21N
between 53W and 63W.

A Caribbean Sea tropical wave is along 78W/79W, from 14N
southward, moving westward 15 knots to 20 knots. A Caribbean Sea
tropical wave is along 86W/87W, from 13N southward in the SW
corner of the Caribbean Sea, moving westward 10 knots. The
monsoon trough runs from Colombia near 10N74W to 11N77W, through
southern Nicaragua, beyond El Salvador, and into the eastern
Pacific Ocean. Precipitation: widely scattered moderate to
isolated strong covers the SW corner of the Caribbean Sea from
16N southward from 76W westward.

A tropical wave is in the Atlantic Ocean along 27W/28W from 16N
southward, moving west at 15 to 20 kt. Isolated showers and
thunderstorms are noted near the tropical wave axis.

A tropical wave is in the Atlantic Ocean along 50W from 14N
southward to the northern coast of Brazil, moving west at 15 to
20 kt. Scattered moderate and isolated strong convection is noted
from 09N to 13N between 45W and 53W, from the Equator to 03N
between 49W and 52W including over northern Brazil, and ahead of
the tropical wave axis from 06N to 09N between 50W and 59W.

A tropical wave is in the southeast Caribbean Sea along 64W/65W
from 14N southward to across Venezuela, moving west at 10 to 15
kt. Isolated to scattered showers are possible along the coast of
Venezuela near the tropical wave axis.

A tropical wave is in the southwest Caribbean Sea along 83W from
12N southward across western Panama near the border with Costa
Rica, continuing into the tropical eastern Pacific Ocean, moving
slowly west around 5 to 10 kt. Scattered moderate convection is
noted from 09N to 12N between 81W and 84W. This tropical wave has
reached the eastern extent of the well established eastern
Pacific monsoonal circulation and is likely to become absorbed and
non detectable within the next 24 to 48 hours. Associated
moisture is being sheared from the northern portions of this wave
toward the northwest and across spreading across much of the NW
Caribbean.

Wave #9 has been intruduced on 6/10/22 at 06z and is located just inside West Africa about to emerge the coast.
