Waves 17-18- 19 at 12:05 UTC discussion on 7/11/22.

An eastern Atlantic tropical wave has its axis along 34W from 07N
to 20N. It is moving westward at 10-15 kt. Convection with this
wave remains suppressed as African dust surrounds this wave.
Scattered moderate convection is limited to within 120 nm east of
the wave from 07N-10N and within 60 nm east of the wave from 07N-
09N.

An eastern Caribbean tropical wave has its axis along 66W south
of 19N, moving westward at 15-20 kt. No significant deep
convection is noted with this tropical wave.

A western Caribbean tropical wave has its axis along 82W south
of 21N to northern Panama. It is moving westward at 10-15 kt. This
wave is situated to the southeast of an upper-level low that is
near the western tip of Cuba. Divergence aloft between this low
and the tropical wave is helping to sustain scattered moderate to
isolated strong convection that is west of the wave axis from 12N
to 14N west of the wave to just inland Nicaragua. Similar
convection is along the coast of Honduras, north to near 18N.

Waves 18-19-20 at 12:05 UTC discussion on 7/12/22.

An eastern Atlantic tropical wave has its axis along 25W from 04N
to 19N, moving westward at 10-15 kt. Clusters of scattered
moderate convection are noted within 240 nm E of the wave from

A central Atlantic tropical wave has its axis along 47W/48W from
06N-20N. It is moving westward at 15-20 kt. Dry Saharan air is
preventing convection from developing north of 07N, but scattered
moderate convection is noted near the wave axis from 05N to 07N
between 45W-48W.

A central Caribbean tropical wave has its axis along 75W south
of 18N to inland central Colombia, moving westward at about 17 kt.
No significant convection is noted at this time with this wave.
Only isolated showers are possible along and near the wave axis
over Colombia.

A tropical wave has been introduced to this analysis, with axis
extending along 35W from 03N-14N. Satellite imagery depicts the
typical inverted V cloud pattern between 31W-40W, and model
diagnostics also predict the presence of the wave in this area.
Scattered showers are noted from 09N-12N between 34W-38W.
