I am going with 5. I think 1 or 2 will be majors too.

Going with 5. I also predict that we'll see 2 majors, including one before the bell-ringing August 20 date :P

After all the PTCSD brought on by Alex and Bonnie, I felt like 4 might be a fairly objective and good, yet slightly conservative number. 4 it is, with maybe the first two being TS and the latter two being H. Perhaps things will lean heavily towards the 2nd half of August before the bottom falls out during Sept/Oct.

4 seems like a safe guess. Maybe at least one brief spin-up like Colin and a couple of deep tropics systems.

The CFS has been repeatedly showing an Irene ‘11 or Floyd ‘99 system system in the second half of August. If it’s right and this isn’t just some kind of repeating model bias, then August could feature the season’s first long-tracking MDR hurricane.

I am only a meteorology enthusiast who knows a decent amount about tropical cyclones. Look to the professional mets, the NHC, or your local weather office for the best information.

I'm going low with 3. I've already busted way low, might as well keep the streak alive.

I'm going to go with 4, with 3 of those coming after 8/15. Early August still usually isn't all that favorable for Atlantic storms but I think we could see one form in that timeframe this year.

I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

The first half of August is always a “season cancelled” snooze fest, however I believe things will get interesting in the last half, as is tradition. Due to the lack of productive time, I’m only predicting 3 named storms in August.

Throwing caution to the wind and saying 5. And the first half of August isn't ALWAYS dead, so it's possible... *cough Allen cough* 8-)

For the 38 members that had voted so far, I have good news and that is, enabled the poll to allow changing the vote so those who may have second thoughts after seeing all the information that is posted on the 2022 indicators thread, can revote but this will be until next Wednesday the 20th.

I am still holding to my prediction of 5 storms. Despite the current active EPAC, today is July 15. One month from now can be vastly different and I expect it to be.

Four is my best-educated guess based on available data and computer models.

How do we revote?, I am thinking of changing from 5 to 6 or more as I think conditions may be
unusually conducive earlier in August.

Is easy. The blue dot is where you first voted and then cast your revote for the option Six or more and that's it.

I just see the results on my end , no dots to vote

This is sceenshot of the poll and the blue dot where the members have voted first. Chose Six or more and that changes your preference and that is it.
