I have a feeling we're entering a much more favorable background state, especially with Earl having really doing a number on the insanely warm subtropical waters. I voted 19-25

It's pretty clear that warm tropical water isn't a factor as far as formation, as both hurricanes formed over cooler subtropical areas where wind shear and dry air are less of a problem. That'll be the case with Fiona, too. I didn't see the option to pick 2028. I like it. I picked Sep. 26-Oct 2 because I think the Atlantic will quite down over the next week or so as the East Pac becomes active.

I picked the beginning of October. I think there will be 2 or 3 more storms before the season comes to an end. It's possible we may see one more in September, and then I think 2 in October, and none in November and December as the season comes to a close......
