Still only one wave on August 24 and is 92L. This is the 12:05 UTC analysis.

A central Atlantic tropical wave is near 40W from 08N to 22N,
passing just west of a 1008 mb low pressure (AL92) at 17N38.5W.
It is moving west around 10 kt. Scattered moderate isolated
strong convection is seen from 14N to 20N between 36W and 42W.
Fresh winds are in the NE semicircle of the low along with seas 5
to 7 ft. Despite marginal environmental conditions, slow
development is possible and the low could become a tropical
depression by the weekend while the system moves WNW to NW into
the central tropical Atlantic. This system has a low chance of
tropical cyclone formation through 48 hours. Please refer to the
latest NHC Tropical Weather Outlook at www.hurricanes.gov for more
details.

convection is noted from 16N to 21N between 41W and 45W. Fresh to
locally strong winds and 6-8 ft seas are near the low. Environmental
conditions could become more conducive for development in a few
days, and a tropical depression could form by early next week
while the system moves generally northwestward toward the central
subtropical Atlantic.

Waves at 18:05 UTC on 9/4/23.

A tropical wave, that is in western Africa, is forecast
to move off the African coast in a couple of days. The

may form in the far eastern tropical Atlantic Ocean during
the latter part of the week. The movement of this feature
will be toward the west-northwest 15 mph.

A Caribbean Sea tropical wave is along 73W/74W, from
19N southward, moving westward 5 knots to 10 knots.
Precipitation: widely scattered moderate to isolated
strong is from 15N to the dissipating stationary front
between Puerto Rico and Jamaica. Isolated moderate to
locally strong is elsewhere from 13N northward between
65W and 80W.

A Caribbean Sea tropical wave is along 86W/87W, from
19N southward, moving westward 10 knots to 15 knots.
Precipitation: widely scattered moderate to isolated

Wave sat 12:05 UTC on 9/5/23.

A strong tropical wave is along 16W, south of 19N, moving westward
at 15 kt. The wave axis remains over western Africa producing a
large area of showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions
appear conducive for development once the wave moves offshore,
and a tropical depression could form over the far eastern tropical
Atlantic during the middle to latter part of the week while the
system moves to the west or west-northwest at 10 to 15 kt. This
system is expected to move across the Cabo Verde Islands Wednesday
night and Thursday, and interests there should monitor its progress.
This system has a low chance of tropical cyclone development over
the next 48 hours, and a high chance through 7 days. Please,
refer to the latest NHC Tropical Weather Outlook at
www.hurricanes.gov for more details.

A central Caribbean Sea tropical wave has its axis along 79W,
south of 19N, moving westward at 10 to 15 kt. A few showers are
noted near the wave axis.
