This is probably going to turn north. Can't wait to see what this looks like Monday morning after slowly moving across the GOM.

Can’t go north! And will be speeding along the winds from the easterlies :( wish it would come in around San Antonio bay Texas so everyone along the Texas coast could get rain :(

Moving at a decent clip tonight too! NWS Tampa has my high of only 89 in Punta Gorda. I'm thinking more like 93 and hot and steamy in the afternoon if this passes sooner. Will be very sticky with full sun out.

3. Western Gulf of Mexico:
An area of disturbed weather located over the Straits of Florida and
the southern Florida peninsula will move into the Gulf of Mexico
later today, where a broad area of low pressure is expected to form
early this week. Some slow development of this system could occur
thereafter as it moves westward at about 15 to 20 mph, and a
tropical depression could form as it approaches the western Gulf of
Mexico coastline by Tuesday.

* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...30 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...medium...50 percent.

It will be inland into Texas in 48 hrs. Not a greater chance of development beyond 48 hrs.

Time for this TW to become 91L, coming together this morning with a fairly good vorticity and sharp trough axis.

My weatherbug app took the 30% chance of rain off the forecast this morning for me in Splendora, Tx. Wishcasting for any scraps I could get. :roll:
