Peculiar Numerology thread for Past Tropical Cyclones, 2023 and Beyond

#1 Postby FireRat » Wed Aug 23, 2023 5:01 am

Hey all :)
I've been thinking about posting this wacky thread for quite some time, dedicated to the Numerology patterns that *might* exist in past and future significant tropical cyclone dates. Unlike my oddball Chinese Zodiac posts, this will be a single thread where we can talk about 2023 and beyond, as well as look back in time. Before we get into the fun of looking for "significant numbers" in dates and such, I will give y'all an introduction to this esoteric stuff... Disclaimer... This is for fun and entertainment only! Not for forecast!...

I will try to be brief: Numerology in a nutshell is the study of the supposed occult influence of numbers on ourselves and the world around us. This stuff has its foundation on the numbers 1 thru 9, from which we can get all the other numbers, which also repeat every 9 numbers. For example the number 10 that comes after 9 returns to the cycle of 1, and so does 19, 28, 37 etc. We can see which base number exists within the number by adding its digits until a single digit is left, or in some cases until a double-digit repeat number like 11 or 22 (master numbers) is left. For example, in the case of the number 10, we get 1+0 = 1. For the number 19, we can see 1+9 = 10, and 1+0 = 1. Both 10 and 19 are part of the base 1... however every number is also regarded as being unique, so even though 10 and 19 are base 1, they are not exactly alike but simply have many things in common related to the number 1. Those who practice Numerology also have special regard for repdigit numbers like 11, 22 and 33 and do not reduce them to 2, 4, or 6 respectively when encountered, thus they are called "master numbers" and are said to carry an extra amount of energy related to their base number and digits. Basically if we encounter a sum that yields 11 or 22 or 33, we should leave it alone as such. Also, if we add an 11, 22 or 33 to other numbers, we could either add digit-by-digit and/or add the 11 or 22 whole, unlike the rest of the numbers which should only be added digit-by-digit. That's basically how Numerology works, it is by performing addition or seeing a number in plain sight... no multiplication, division or subtraction. (This is what I have grasped after reading books/sites on the matter for over two decades).

*Date Numerology, pertinent to this thread: This is how the numbers of a date are found, and in fact there are several numbers we can get for a single date, 10 of these to be exact. Each number is found via sums of parts of the date or the whole date itself. It is important to note that some calculations have much more significance than others. The biggest one is the sum of the complete date in mm/dd/yyyy format (called the life-path number by many Numerologers). After this would be the whole date sum but in mm/dd/yy form instead, and then the sum of the month + day and then the number of the day itself (these two are practically equally-important). After this we get less-significant sums of the month+day, and sum of the year's digits at the end. You could say there is a hierarchy to these sums, and these are them in order from greatest to lesser significance:

1.) mm/dd/yyyy = m+m+d+d+y+y+y+y
2.) mm/dd/yy = m+m+d+d+y+y
3.) mm/dd = m+m+d+d
4.) Day #
5.) dd/yyyy = d+d+y+y+y+y
6.) dd/yy = d+d+y+y
7.) mm/yyyy = m+m+y+y+y+y
8.) mm/yy = m+m+y+y
9.) Month #
10.) year sum = yyyy = y+y+y+y

So basically now I find myself on Andrew's eve anniversary talking about this weird number wizardry with you all. Lets use today's date as an example to see what numbers we can get:
08/23/2023:
1.) 08/23/2023 = 0+8+2+3+2+0+2+3 = 20... The most significant numerology number for today.
2.) 08/23/23 = 0+8+2+3+2+3 = 18... the 2nd most important numerology number sum for today.
3.) 08/23 = 0+8+2+3 = 13.
4.) Day 23... the 23rd of the month.
5.) 23/2023 = 2+3+2+0+2+3 = 12... For all 23rd days of 2023.
6.) 23/'23 = 2+3+2+3 = 10... For all 23rd days of '23.
7.) 08/2023 = 0+8+2+0+2+3 = 15... For all Aug 2023
8.) 08/'23 = 0+8+2+3 = 13... For all Aug '23.
9.) Month 08... For all of August.
10.) 2023 = 2+0+2+3 = 7... For all 2023.

As you can see in today's example, the numbers 20, 18, 13 and 23 itself are the 4 most significant numerology numbers for this particular date. As was mentioned earlier above, each number is also unique so instead of reducing the 20 to '2' or the 18 to '9', its more 'exact' if we leave these numbers like this. The same goes for the other numbers. Once we get to the 5th sum and onwards you can see that the resulting number is less specific to just today's date, but instead now becomes more generalized like for the 23rds of the month, and then for the whole month or year... these would be the overall less-significant numerology numbers for today's date. The 5th sum would be the more significant of these lesser sums, where the whole day 23 was added to the whole year 2023.

Now that you've all seen how these calculations were made for today, now we can talk about seeing if there really are numbers that tend to come up more often during big tropical cyclone dates (as well as other big natural event days for that matter). The first 5 numerology sums will usually reveal the big numbers for the date. What are these "big numbers" you might be wondering... well it appears that if there's any pattern to this crazy stuff, it would be that we get three numerology "phenomenons", the 11-25 phenomenon, the 1-7-8-9 phenomenon & the 13-22 phenomenon. Basically a high incidence of the numbers 11/25, and/or incidence of numbers 1/7/8/9 and their multiples, and/or the incidence of the numbers 13 and 22 within the same date's numerology sum. There may be other "patterns", and there also may not be any "patterns" at all, but these three "phenomenons" are something I've noticed a lot with the dates of events and tropical cyclones reaching their peak, local time of course.

The first such "pattern" to be introduced is possibly the most crazy one, it has to do with the number 25!
Part of the 11/25 Phenomenon, the number 25 does come up quite a bit in the most significant mm/dd/yyyy & mm/dd/yy sums of big hurricane/typhoon days! The image below depicts the dates during which some of these wild storms were at or near their peak and many of these also struck land at those intensities...

Image

These were some very infamous storms too! Coincidence? Perhaps most likely, but this sure makes for an interesting thread IMO.
Those were the dates of the storms' peak or near peaks and many of these struck land on those dates too. This goes for hurricanes, cyclones and typhoons too.
Most of these 25's were found in the most significant mm/dd/yyyy & mm/dd/yy sums for the dates of these storms, local time.
The next two '25 dates' are August 28, 2023 & September 9, 2023.

For the record, this thread is for fun, speculation and entertainment purposes only! Not for forecasting! Not every such number dates will bring events either! All questions and comments are welcome!
Will be interesting to see if any of these type of dates line up with future modeled storms though 8-)

The upcoming "25-dates" thru the 1st half of September:

mm/dd/yyyy form:
(Most significant numerology sum)

August 28, 2023
8/28/2023
8+2+8+2+0+2+3 = 25.

September 9, 2023
9/9/2023
9+9+2+0+2+3 = 25.

mm/dd/yy form:

September 11, '23
9/11/23
9+11+2+3 = 25.
This one also involves the number 11, which is another significant number. The mm/dd/yy format sum is slightly less significant than the full complete mm/dd/yyyy however. Definitely still a date worth mentioning for this wacky thread.

Was waiting and wondering if any of the systems worldwide would bomb out today, a Numerology "25 date", and wow it was Franklin that decided to pull it off! I was thinking Saola might have been the one to do it, but Franklin really turned into a beast today! Who knows if recon will find a Meow 5 later today!

Crazy to think that it was on this exact moment in time, 18 years ago, that Katrina bombed out into a C5 back in 2005.

This, unlike Katrina, is the best type of storm to witness, eye candy and not hurting anyone. Hopefully the shipping companies avoided him too. Enjoy this sight on this special date y'all.

Checking out tomorrow's date, the date of Idalia's landfall for what numbers exist...
Aug 30, 2023 = 08/30/2023
First Five Numerology Sums (most significant)
1.) m+m+d+d+y+y+y+y: 0+8+3+0+2+0+2+3 = 18
2.) m+m+d+d+y+y: 0+8+3+0+2+3 = 16
3.) m+m+d+d: 0+8+3+0 = 11
4.) day #: 30
5.) d+d+y+y+y+y: 3+0+2+0+2+3 = 10

-The colored numbers represent numbers that belong to the numerology "phenomena" mentioned in the parent post. The first examples, including Aug 28, 2023 were the 25 portion of the 11/25 phenomenon, in which Eleven is blue and Twenty-five is Red. The green numbers are part of the 1/7/8/9 phenomenon, which is about dates that have the numbers 1,7,8,9 and/or numbers that belong to these four bases.
-August 30, 2023 provides a decent opportunity to showcase this other numerology phenomenon, with three of the first five sums being these green numbers. The 18 is part of the base-9 numbers, the 16 is 7-base, and the 10 is 1-base.

Unlike the 11/25 phenomenon which is specific to only 25 and 11 (and numbers that reduce to 11, like 29 & 38), the 1/7/8/9 phenomenon is more broad and generalized and includes all the numbers that reduce to these base numbers as well, so it also includes 10,17,18,19 then 19,26,27 and 28,34,35,36 and so on (excluding 25, which is much more powerful than a typical 7-base). The 1/7/8/9 phenomenon becomes more significant when more of these numbers are found for the date. We could say August 30 2023 has a strong presence of the numbers associated with 1/7/9, which is part of the 1/7/8/9 "phenomenon", with three of the sums being 'green' (18,16,10), so it does have quite a few numbers tied to this phenomenon. Also not to be overlooked, the month number is 8 and the final numerology sum of the year 2023 gives a little extra oomph with a 7.
To put a small cherry on top, the 8/30 gives us an 11.

For future purposes, the last of the 3 main "phenomena" is the 13/22 phenomenon, and will be colored yellow-orange. This one is not present in any of the examples as of yet, but it is specific for dates that have both of these numbers in the first six numerology sums.

Next big wacky 25 date is 9/9/2023

9+9+2+0+2+3 = 25.
Last such day was 8/28/2023.

Two days later, in mm/dd/yy form we have 9/11/23 with similar 25-numerology.

A week later the number pattern repeats with Sept 18 in full mm/dd/yyyy form, just like 9/9.

Will be interesting to see if 95L/ future Lee or Margot does anything by that time.

09/06/2023 - Hurricane Jova in the EPAC explodes in intensity! This event also highlights the 3rd odd Numerology "phenomenon", the 13/22 phenomenon...
Image

Sept 6, 2023 = 9/6/2023:
First Five Numerology Sums (most significant)
1.) m+m+d+d+y+y+y+y: 0+9+0+6+2+0+2+3 = 22
2.) m+m+d+d+y+y: 0+9+0+6+2+3 = 20
3.) m+m+d+d: 0+9+0+6 = 15
4.) day #: 6
5.) d+d+y+y+y+y: 0+6+2+0+2+3 = 13

-This Numerology pattern, the 13/22, works only when BOTH 13 AND 22 are found within the same date's numbers. This 13/22 pattern only applies to the first six sums of Numerology, and is most significant when both of these numbers are found in the first five sums, like today. These kind of dates are pretty rare too.

Another past date akin to this one was 09/01/2019, the day Dorian exploded over the Bahamas.

The next such 13/22 dates, like today, are 09/15/2023 & 09/24/2023.
The dates of 9/8/23, 9/17/23 & 9/26/23 are 13/22 types but to a lesser degree, in which the sixth sum of those dates (d+d+y+y) equals 13 and the 2nd sum (m+m+d+d+y+y) equals 22.

So an interesting fact: now that Lee has attained Category 5 status, all of the 12 Chinese Zodiac animals have years associated with at least one Category 5 hurricane (at least since 1924, when the first recorded Cat 5 happened).

Rat: 1924
Bull: 1961
Tiger: 1938, 1998, 2022
Rabbit: 2023
Dragon: 1928, 1988
Snake: 1953, 1977, 1989
Horse: 1966
Ram: 1955, 1967, 1979, 2003
Monkey: 1932, 1944, 1980, 1992, 2004, 2016 (wow, Monkey years are bad...)
Rooster: 1933, 1969, 2005, 2017
Dog: 2018
Pig: 1935, 1971, 2007, 2019

That's a cool observation! Yeah, Lee officially filled the gap. Monkey years sure are big ones in the Atlantic! Same goes for Rooster, Pig, Tiger. Rooster gets multiple 5s too often! Rat years are bad too, but funny enough they tend to be heavy with Cat 4s, and the 5s from 1960 & 2020 got downed to 4s

Rabbit years like this one also have had many close calls with 5s but fell short. 1999 was the last one with Floyd and Lenny! 2023 finally scored a bona-fide 5, and this Rabbit year sure looks like it wants to make up for the lack of 5s big time!

Hurricane Lee weakened during this time funny enough, no blow up into the 190 mph beast that we were starting to believe would've happened by now, lol.

Next interesting date could be 9/11/23. Lets see if Lee or Margot or even the Medicane do anything by then.

After this is 9/15 & 9/18, fwiw

*edit
Now a little bit OT and on a more serious note, but Y'all wont believe this... Morocco got devastated last night by a Magnitude 6.8 Quake, with over 2000 dead & massive destruction.
The Earthquake struck at 11:11 PM less than an hour shy of the '25 date' that 9/9/2023 was. Eleven Eleven of all the times!

Image

9/11/2003
9 + 11 + 2+0+0+3 = 25

Hurricane Isabel reached peak intensity out over the Atlantic, maintained its big eye for 3 days!

Fast forward to 20 yrs today and we got Lee out here, although not as beastly as Isabel was back then on this day!
Time flies!

Unfortunately and very shockingly, we add Libya's flood catastrophe to the list of calamities tied to the 11/25 phenomenon, even beyond tropical cyclones although 'Daniel' was responsible for this flash flood from hell.

5,000+ dead, 10,000 missing, nearly 25% of the major coastal city of Derna wiped out. Storm Daniel's landfall and flooding rains during September 9th-10th, led 2 dams to burst early in the predawn hours of Monday, Sept 11, unleashing the disastrous flash flood, several stories high, to flow towards the Mediterranean, wiping out everything in its path, and killing so many people as they slept. A truly horrific natural disaster and one of the worst global.weather events in modern times.

9/11/23...
9 + 11 + 2 + 3 = 25

Just unreal.
Pray for these people who lost so much.

10/11/2023 - 10/12/2023... Super Typhoon Bolaven having some fun out over the WPAC, thankfully away from land areas!

Image

10/11/2023 into 10/12/2023... a Day 11 transitioning into a Numerology 11 day that 10/12/2023 is!
10/12/2023 = 1+0+1+2+2+0+2+3 = 11.
Part of the "11/25 phenomenon", really cool to see this manifest with such a beautiful cyclone in a harmless manner! :D

Hurricane Otis had to hit on the day number 25 of October with landfall at time 00:25 huh. Crazy. This is the only "25' thing about the date of this incredibly devastating landfall, but sure is uncanny as hell.

The sums of the date were different though, 1+0+2+5+2+0+2+3 = 15.
1+0+2+5+2+3 = 13
1+0+2+5 = 8

Some 8 & 13 in there.

Next interesting days this month for 11 Numerology are Nov 11 & Nov 29.

For the 25 Numerology we have Nov 16 & Nov 25. Both add to 25 in mm/dd/yyyy format. In the mm/dd/yy form the 25 sum goes to Nov 18 & Nov 27.

Will be interesting to see if anything happens around then with either the WPAC system or the possible Caribbean system
