Winter 2020-2021 :cold:

All observations are in Tecumseh, OK unless otherwise noted.

Winter posts are focused mainly for Oklahoma & Texas.

Take any of my forecasts with a grain of salt, refer to the NWS, SPC, and NHC for official information

I have noticed that the GFS has been trending towards a slower moving system these last few runs. Forward speed is getting closer to what the Euro has been showing.

Now at 40%/80%

1. Eastern Tropical Atlantic:
Showers and thunderstorms associated with a broad area of low
pressure a couple hundred miles southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands
are beginning to show signs of organization. Environmental
conditions are forecast to be conducive for gradual development of
this system, and a tropical depression is likely to form this
weekend or early next week while the system moves generally westward
at 10 to 15 mph across the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent.
* Formation chance through 7 days...high...80 percent.

Just when you think the GFS is going to come into line with the other models it come in with the left hook extratropical transition into Nova Scotia.
