Non-Tropical Low East of Florida

Agreed, the impacts of this system have been equivalent to a tropical storm. Widespread wind gusts to 50-60 mph have been observed along the coast of southeast/east-central Florida, locally up to 75 mph:

There is a decent chance this system becomes a subtropical or tropical cyclone in the next day or two as it heads NE up the Gulf Stream.

That is one mean little storm. West of Big Pine got some rain and wind but nothing like Key Largo, Miami, and Fort Lauderdale area.

Its been awhile since we had a significant 'no name ' storm as some are calling it. (Edit to add, impact Florida)

Im just upset i cant get out of work the next days as the surf in South Florida will be really good the next day or two. Maybe there will still be swell in the water this weekend

@50 mph gusts near Jupiter/Hobe Sound. Lots of small tree debris all over, this "No Name" event is definitely comparable to a minimal TD/TS event.

I would say comparable to a strong tropical storm. I have seen land falling hurricanes with weaker observations than this:

These are in knots, gusts to 75 mph, sustained well over 50 mph

The meso-low has weakened considerably since this morning, however some of the mesoscale models suggest it could have another strengthening pulse and possibly bring some impacts to east central Florida later tonight..that in my opinion is doubtful but we will see.

Now that it has cleared out, it is good to see no serious injuries or impacts resulting from this. Just an oddity
