Possible short-lived subtropical cyclone near Tunisia

#1 Postby Vince_and_Grace_fan » Wed Nov 22, 2023 10:48 am

The secondary low that is currently developing south of Sicily along a frontal zone may transform into a subtropical cyclone by tomorrow, however, it is expected to will make landfall in the afternoon or evening hours, so it will be very short-lived. Regardless of the development, the low and the associated long-lasting northerly flow could cause very high amount of precipitation in SW Sicily, Malta, Tunisia and on the northern coastline of Algeria.

The cyclone remained quite disorganized and weak, also it has already made landfall, some hours earlier than expected, so further development is unlikely.
