Updating my numbers slightly to 19/10/5 ACE 181. Most likely final- I'm number 26 on the list.

Were these numbers to pan out, 2024 would be a very active season, and one that would be very close to top-10-all-time in terms of ACE.
Incredibly, this is still a prediction that errs to the side of caution and conservatism- and with the way conditions are looking in the Atlantic, the ceiling could be significantly higher. While it doesn't take into account all factors, 2023's SST configuration was ultimately enough to produce a 20/7/3 148 ACE season during a substantial El Niño; I see very little reason why 2024 won't significantly surpass that while sharing similar SST anomalies during a first-year Niña. Barring something completely unforeseen that completely disrupts the basin's base-state (akin to 2013, or 2022 to some extent), it's hard to see this season not achieving hyperactivity.
