very tropical on the west central florida gulf coast. Pretty low BP for springtime. My knees told me it was falling before I found out! :roll: :roll:

Quite a strong low pressure, but imagine what the low pressure was that spawned the Superoutbreak of Tornadoes back in April 1974 ... Not exactly sure what the BP was, but I'm certain it was below 29.00" (981mb)

Yes, and also the No-Name storm of 1993 here. It was just spring, but we had hurricane-force winds (gusts) of more than 70 mph and serious flooding.

The Superstorm while in the GOM dropped down to 990 mb before making its charge inland ... and by the time it reaches Chesapeake, MD, the BP dropped to 960mb.

The barometric pressure here, at last report (4:25 am ET) was 29.80 in. [1009 mb].  It was 29.67 in. [1005 mb] at 10:05 pm ET.

If only it were January :eek: I'd be looking at a ton of snow and/or ice.... currently 37°F with RAIN... We need the rain though..
