things just don't feel right.....

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

things don't feel right here in Orlando. I grew up in south Florida and have been through a few tropical storms and Irene. The atomosphere here just feels different not in a good way maybe its only my mind playing tricks on me but I have a feeling we are going to get worse conditions than predicted here in western Orange County. here's the funny part my boss is making me go into work at 3:00pm which means i will be coming home at 12AM no fun driving in that

I just got an email from my aunt who works in downtown Orlando and they are closing her office at 10:30am this morning.

You're probably also feeling the change in the pressure from the storm.

Can you fire your boss?

He probably wasn't feeling "right" either.

Thank God. I was about to post and advise you to not go in. No job is worth your life!

My boss is having a "core" staff stay all night long...a few staff, maintenance, security, and custodians. Exactly what he thinks we will be able to do during the worst of the storm...I have no idea...but it is double time .. and I have no choice in the matter.

Check out animals and their behavior.

I've been through a tornado and a hurricane with dogs. Just before the tornado hit my dog went into his house and would not come out. The sky got very black overhead the air got so still it was weird and the color of the light was like nothing I have ever seen. Then all hell broke loose! I wanted to get in the house with my dog! LOL!!

As Isabel approached, a friends dog that I was keeping got very nervous and paced about the house looking for a comfortable spot to bed down. Max frequently came to me and wanted me to do somethingto make him feel better. I let him get on the sofa with me but he was still freaked. It freaked me too.

Good luck and be careful!
