Ana and the 2003 Season

#1 Postby Anonymous » Mon Apr 21, 2003 1:51 pm

The development of subtropical storm Ana is not a precursor. The first storm of the season usually doesn't give you a good idea as to how active a season will be. For example, the only other time a storm developed in April was in 1992. Besides Andrew, the 1992 season was quiet. All of the major seasonal factors are pointing in a different direction this year.
