This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Tropical or subtropical on next advisory?

If you notice where ANA is and the T numbers there is an ST to the left and at the last reading of 2.5 there is only a T. Is this a clue that it will be tropical storm ANA at the next advisory?

Yes. They removed the S. We'll see. In latest infrared satellite pictures the convection look's to be wrapping arround and Ana is looking healthier. It also appear to be moving slowly, as it continue moving at this speed Ana may keep finding low shear environment and could strenghten a little although at the end it will disipate as it moves east-northeastward into a more hostile environment.

Animate and see it's movement

Much more rain expected for us in PR from now on into maybe wednesday. Expect a lot of rain tomorow as a huge amount of humidity come from Colombia and Panama across the Caribbean sea and Puerto Rico into the tail end trough of Ana. A large area of moderate to deep convection is moving northeast from Central Caribbean and will reach us tomorow. This situation will last at least 2 more days until the efects of Ana end.

Incredible Is'nt it!!! History write itself everyday!! There's always a first time for everything. Remember Hurricane Lenny?? That's why I don't trust in computer models mainly when I make my forecast, I also take in consideration history and my inside fellings about the situations. I never take anything for granted in meteorology. Weather is a dinamic event.

Well another sign that it will be pure tropical storm ANA is that the navy has 1000 mbs on the pic and says tropical storm ANA on the track.

Agree on that Cycloman about in meteorlogy you can't say for granted about a forecast because something happens that changes what you said before.
